This is getting out of hand. I had NPR on this morning and the host was discussing Chicago having over 500 murders this year with a Chicago Tribune reporter. That’s not what bothered me though. It was his excessive usage of “ya know”. When questioned the reporter would spout this sort of garbage: “Chicago’s police chief said ya know. Yeah… It’s not a police issue. It’s like a society problem ya know?” I’m listening to NPR because I don’t know things but I’d like to.
